Privacy Policy
Effective August 1, 2026
AgBasis is operated by SHN Solutions LLC (“SHN Solutions,” “we,” “us”). AgBasis prepares borrowing-base certificates for agricultural lenders from a borrower’s own accounting, herd, and market data. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and who else sees it.
Who this policy covers
AgBasis is used by farming and ranching businesses (each, a “Customer”) and by the individuals a Customer authorizes to use it. We do not offer AgBasis to consumers, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Data a Customer connects belongs to that Customer; we process it on their behalf.
What we collect

What we do with QuickBooks data specifically
- We read it. AgBasis never creates, edits, or deletes anything in a Customer’s QuickBooks company.
- We read it as of a chosen period-end date, so that a certificate states the borrower’s position on the date the lender requires.
- We use it solely to compute that Customer’s borrowing-base certificates and the supporting schedules their lender requires.
- We do not sell it, rent it, use it for advertising, use it to train machine-learning models, or use it to build products for anyone other than the Customer it came from.
Who we disclose data to
- The Customer’s lenders. The purpose of AgBasis is to produce a certificate the Customer submits to their lender. The Customer decides which lenders receive it and when.
- Service providers that host or operate the platform on our behalf, under contract and only for that purpose: Supabase (database hosting), Railway (application hosting), and Vercel (web hosting). Data is stored in the United States.
- Legal process. If we are required by law to disclose data, we will do so, and will notify the affected Customer unless legally prohibited.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we protect it
- QuickBooks OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM before being written to the database; they are not stored in readable form.
- Each Customer’s records are isolated at the database level by row-level security, so one Customer’s queries cannot reach another’s rows.
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
- Access to production systems is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects a Customer’s data, we will notify that Customer without undue delay.
How long we keep it
A borrowing-base certificate is a financial record a lender may audit years later, so the source data behind each certificate is retained as an immutable, append-only record for as long as the Customer’s account is active. A Customer may request deletion of their data by writing to us; we will delete it within 30 days except where we are required to retain it by law. Disconnecting QuickBooks deletes the stored access and refresh tokens immediately and stops all further access to that QuickBooks company.
Your choices
- Disconnect at any time from the entity settings page in AgBasis, or from within QuickBooks under Apps.
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing the address below.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will update the effective date above and notify Customers by email before the change takes effect.
